Information on public transportation

• Reaching KIET from Osong Station

  1. If coming from Seoul, take the KTX to Osong Station. You may buy train tickets here using a foreign credit card. You will need your passport number to book.
     • o The buses from Osong Station to the Sejong National Research Complex where KIET is housed are Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses.
       • - You will need to purchase and add funds to a public transit card (T-Money, CashBee) to take BRT buses as they do not accept cash. Transit cards can be purchased from convenience stores at Osong Station.
       • - You must scan your card when getting on and disembarking from the bus.
     • o Once disembarked from the train, head to the bus stops on the ground floor (follow English-language signage)
       • - Option 1
         • • Take BRT bus B4. Get off at the Sejong National Research Complex.
       • - Option 2
         • • Take BRT bus B3. Get off at Nuri-dong. Transfer to BRT bus . Get off at the Sejong National Research Complex.
       • - Option 3
         • • Take BRT bus B3. Get off at Dodam-dong. Transfer to BRT bus B5. Get off at the Sejong National Research Complex
• Reaching KIET from the Sejong Express Bus Terminal

  1. Take an| express bus to the Sejong Express Bus Terminal. You may book tickets online here. A Korean debit or credit card and mobile phone number are required to book tickets through the online system.
     • o Option 1: BRT buses
       • - Take BRT bus B0, B5, or 1002. Get off at the Sejong National Research Complex.
         • • The stop for these buses is underground next to the Sejong Express Bus Terminal. You may access the BRT bus stop via an elevator or stairs outside the terminal.
         • • You will need to purchase and add funds to a public transit card (T-Money, CashBee) to take the BRT buses as they do not accept cash. Transit cards can be purchased from the convenience store at the Sejong Express Bus Terminal.
     • o Option 2: Commuter buses
       • - Take commuter bus 222, 601, or 991. Get off at the Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF).
         • • The stop for the commuter buses is aboveground outside the Sejong Express Bus Terminal. You may pay the fare for commuter buses via cash or public transit (T-Money, CashBee) card.
       • - After getting off at KIPF, the Sejong National Research Complex is a 10 minute walk northeast along the road (Sicheong Dae-ro).
• Reaching KIET from Government Complex Sejong intercity bus stop

  1. Take an intercity bus to Government Complex Sejong.
     • o Option 1
       • - Take BRT bus B0. Get off the Sejong National Research Complex.
         • • You will need to purchase and add funds to a public transit card (T-Money, CashBee) to take BRT buses as they do not accept cash. Transit cards can be purchased from convenience stores in the area.
     • o Option 2
       • - Take commuter bus 221. Get off at the Korea Institute of Public Finance (KIPF).
       • - After getting off at KIPF, the Sejong National Research Complex is a 10 minute northeast along the road (Sicheong Dae-ro).
• Reaching KIET from Daejeon Station

  1. If coming from Busan, take the KTX to Daejeon Station. You may buy train tickets here using a foreign credit card. You will need your passport number to book.
     • o Once disembarked from the train, head outside through main entrance on the west side of the station (follow English-language signage) to find the bus to Sejong City.
     • o The bus from Daejeon Station to Sejong City is a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus.
       • - You will need to purchase and add funds to a public transit card (T-Money, CashBee) to take BRT buses as they do not accept cash. Transit cards can be purchased from convenience stores at Daejeon Station.
       • - You must scan your card when getting on and disembarking from the bus.
     • o Walk north following the road (Daejeon-ro) immediately outside Daejeon Station until you reach the BRT bus stop. The BRT stop will be the last of three Daejeon Station bus stops on the east side of the road.
       • - Take BRT bus B1. Get off at Sodam-dong Saesaemmaeul. Transfer to commuter bus 601 or 222. Get off at the Sejong National Research Complex.
