||제 호 (2005.09.22)
The Korean automobile industry's operating ratio has dropped to 40 percent this year. The
seasons behind this poor showing consist of the more than 50 percent decrease in domestic
demand and depressed exports since the economic crisis hit the country almost exactly one
year ago. Forecasts hold that the industry is unlikely to return to its pre- crisis level of activity
before 2002. However, with Hyundai Motors, some analysts expect that the time needed to
overcome the gave difficulties of the industry will be shortened.
